Calico Bass

Hey Guys.
I was on that Islander / Let's Talk Hook Up / Fast Lane / SCI trip awhile back. It was super fun and I'd do it again. It was great to have the island at a kayaks pace and pick it apart. I'm usually on a small center console and we zip around, fish fast. This is AM footage. Batt died for PM which I thought bit better.

Here's a short vid. Thanks -AA

Serious bassing right there. You must have had a horrible case of bass thumb. I love fishing Calis close in like that. Mike

Daaannngggg that's a lot of action!
What I wouldn't give to have to deal with a bad case of "Bass thumb" like that!
What color heads were you using, looked like "firecracker" on a couple and could make out the others.
What kind of Swimmies were those (BH?), I couldn't make out many of the tail colors (I think I saw a "Christmas tree" or "calico killer").
Great underwater footage of some bass reacting to a couple Of baits swimming by, and the red crab hiding under the kelp!

FFY,
Thanks for asking.
Firecracker & Burnt color heads.
I use a variety of swimbaits, basically anything I can get my hands on. BH offers all the colors I like. Pearl Swimbaits offers the toughness I prefer and MC Swimbaits is a San Diego based company, so I support him.

Colors for out there, I use anything that has Red Flake. Good luck! -AA
