I have an Evolution brand rod model 701cmh that is made from a solid graphite blank. All of the guides are shot and the handle needs to be replaced. The rod is similar to the Evolution GT. These blanks are only 10mm thick at the handle. They use a proprietary trigger handle to deal with the thin blank. I do not think that is a blank through handle design. I know that the guides woukd be no problem for you, but could you make a sturdy handle with such a thin blank? I thought that possibly the blank could have an additional piece piece of an old rod added at the end like a telescopic rod. I would not want it to slide, rather it be like a conventional rod.
Thanks for any advice or help you can offer. Rather give the buisness to a student than a shop.

thinking about having you make me a rod to match a rod I got from fisholic John. something like a seeker graphite 20-50 with ceramic guides. I dont like the way metal corrodes. Wrapped anyway you want< as long as the thread is dark blue. No handwriting on the rod. We would want to have something like gold typset with my name, no description of the rod. Tell me what you think and how much you would want to do it etc. You do nice work. This was supposed to be a pm but it looks like it came out as a public message.
