Second Rod Validation - Fish Lic.
I am sure this is a stupid question but the "Second Rod Validation" only applies to inland waters such as lakes? So, legally you cant fish two poles at the same time in the ocean? :bigear:

You can fish as many as you like as long as you are not fishing for a few species like Salmon.

I just found it on the DFG website... Q. How many fishing rods and hooks can I use when sport fishing in the ocean? A. Any number of hooks and fishing lines may be used in all ocean waters and bays with the following exceptions:
