Be aware of the strong current in the mouth of the bay, depending on the tides. Despite relatively short route, paddling into MB channel against outgoing tide can be brutal. MB is shallow, so on occasions it's like a river...

As suggested, launching from Tourmaline is much easier, but swell better be real small.

Awesome info. Thanks for the tip.

Will check tide charts and find a good day to try this. 3 miles is doable, will see if its worth the trek.
