MB to South LJ kelp, you're looking at about 3+ miles... It's a long haul.
I see recreational kayakers paddling that route, but rarely fishing kayaks.
Be aware of the strong current in the mouth of the bay, depending on the tides. Despite relatively short route, paddling into MB channel against outgoing tide can be brutal. MB is shallow, so on occasions it's like a river...

As suggested, launching from Tourmaline is much easier, but swell better be real small.

That's funny Chuck, I remember when we ran into you... We had to swing by, as you don't see kayakers often working the South LJ kelp
