La Jolla next weekend

I want to Go down to La Jolla next weekend for the first time. Im looking for someone to show me around and possible how to catch YellowTail. I have been fishing out of Dana Point alot lately and just looking to try some place new before my wife has the baby and my fishing time is cut down.

Thanks

If you get no one for LJ. You could show me around Dana. My wife just had the baby and I'm trying new places as well.

I'm up for DP early Saturday morning, if I get my Suburban back from the shop in time. Which might not be likely (due to them removing the whole engine), but I should know by Friday...

I could use some Esprit de Corps....

It's a No-Go for me. I will be without a car for at least another week....going on three.

The good news is I don't have to pay the $5,000+ to fix it.

@Devildawgjj if you want me to pick you up and the kayak. I can.

@dc1983 I have PTSD from surf launch. Is there another way to get out there?

Yea if you launch at the rec beach on base it's usually pretty calm maybe .5-2 foot swells that never actual break. Maybe a mile paddle to the kelp from there or we can go south to the power plant

the reason why I don't like launching from the beach is. I fell off the horse and not ready to ride that ride yet. It freaks me out. But if your set on the kelp bed I'm down. I'll bring my Chum so and see if I can pump for some GHOST SHRIMP oh yeah!

I'd suggest going on Saturday... Sunday surf may not look very friendly if its your first time.... but hey, all these surf reports claim they report in "feet" but I think they're all in "inches".
