I caught my first LJ YT on a big ass jack smelt. I've had people tell me strait out that YT don't eat smelt. A buddy of mine who lived on Catalina said his go to non squid seabass bait was blacksmiths. I have found blacksmiths in YT stomachs as well. way to go. off the beaten path and outside of conventional wisdom/practice.

I would troll the first thing I caught on my sibiki. Which explains why I haven't caught a YT on the yak.
