That's the beauty of this specific location. There's a level of risk that some/most aren't willing to take. But that's also why this a pristine almost untouched spot. I saw three vehicles get stuck while there (including us). Is that a lot? That depends on your tolerance and stress level. Sand is sand. LJ Shores can be nice and firm or it can be a vehicle trap and everything in between. Same with Baja. The real questions go back at you...What's the level of risk you're willing to take? If you get stuck, do you have the things needed to get your self out? What's the probability that someone nearby can help you. Weigh those factors and make the decision.

That's a plus about going in a caravan (there are minuses!):
there's usually a good truck in the group
you've got experienced people who know the area
If you really need something, someone's usually brought it...tow strap, compressor, etc...
