What your not seeing is that if you run 2 batteries.....6 volt for the bait tank and you won't have to turn it off as it severely restricts the flow of water into your tank. Use the 12 volt battery for your ff. Will run it all day. If you use 1 12volt battery to run both ff and bait tank, then you will have to install an interrupter type switch for the bait tank. Also by using one battery for both, it may not last all day and if something goes wrong and you short it out, you lose both ff and bait tank.
