Yani. I just moved back from Oahu after almost 4 years. Having three kids and seeing that 1/2 gal of milk was $6.25 over there, that will give you a good indication about the cost of living. Personally, I did NOT want to move back for a million reasons. But sometimes money unfortunately outweighs all of them... at least when there is family involved. BUT if your job produces and you can afford it, it can be the best place on earth. Great people, land, water, food and fishing/surfing/diving. You'll be stoked.

It's a different style of 'yak fishing over there... lots of artificials and dead bait fishing. But if you do it right... ahi, mahi, ono, ulua, uku, etc are on the menu. If you do go, I will set you up with some of the local legends. Main thing (like anywhere in the world) is respect the locals. And I am serious about that because there can be *repercussions* if you know what I mean. Do it right and you'll have friends for life! Here are a few photos to wet your whistle (oh yeah, I fished with a shark shield... I ran into sharks ever 3-4 sessions... you'll see 'em... guaranteed).
