But nothing wrong with spending time with Da Jewel.

Sounds like you are doing the right stuff, keep at it and it will come.

Drop a live bait on the bottom, this time of the year, why not. Won't hurt.

Get a fishfinder, knowing depth helps. You'll know where the kelp is. Won't hurt.
