Another Hobie drive well Crack

I bought an '08 revo brand new. After almost a year it developed a stress crack around the cam in the drive well. At first I didn't notice than I opened hatch and found about five gallons of h20 inside. Hobie replaced kayak with new '09 no questions asked! Haven't had a problem since... All I know is to stay away from the '08s....btw a stress crack in plastic can never be fixed!
