I have never used a pressure washer before, are they free?

I am asumming there is one at Cabrillo? I wonder if there is one at Redondo.


all the beach launches are a no go.

Get a protable pressure washer to rinse the kayak before you put it on top of your car. No salt, no problem.

Get a decent car wax and wax the roof every 2 to 3 months. That should keep the salt at bay. If you are going to use soap, then probably wax a bit more often.

I spent 3 hours waxing my car on Saturday, and detailing it.


It looks so good! but this weekend its going to have a bunch of sand dirt and slime all over it again

Not sure is Matt still provides his car-yak wash service but you might want to check with him. I stopped using him the day he showed up in high heels and a two piece bikini

Assuming if you have a roof rack, I'm not sure why salt would ever get on your roof... Of course, since I'm not able to see the picture you posted, perhaps you have don't have a roof rack.

There is a car wash 5 mins from cabrillo on Pacific and 14th. It has an oversized stall i usually use and just give the Car and Yak a once with the pressure soap and then rinse. Seems to do well. It's a couple bucks for 5 minutes.
