Got a little pre-tournament scouting done today.

Let them all go, especially this guy. Gently placed him back in the water and told him I'll be back on the 4th if he can meet me in the same place, and bring along his brothers

Nah ... that pic is much farther inside the bay than the picture must appear. Especially since I was pointing toward the mouth of the bay, and not a side shot of the bay.

Looking at a map, with legal fishing for the tournament is to draw a line from "Point Loma to Zuniga Point" and anywhere within the SD Bay.

Of course, the way the tide in that area pulls at ya, you could be over that invisible tournament line before you know it.

The mpa is still out there a ways from the pic, and around the corner just a bit. I was parallel to Pt Loma most of the day, and not around Cabrillo point.
