Wet suit
Best thing that works for me , is the wet suit you can pick one up on Craigslist for $50 3 mm. You can always put it on half ways and if it gets cold put it on all the way.it also gives you peace of mind in case you have to go for a swim on that chilly water.

Its lightweight, packable, quick-drying, breathable, does not soak up water, and it floats! Look for the stuff with the anti-microbial fabric. It's got silver or ceramic particles in it. Keeps it smelling like new for months without washing. Just rinse the blood off and you're good to go again. Cold weather. Insulation layer is Polartech fleece or Primaloft synthetic. Outer Layer is waterproof-breathable for winter and wind shirt for summer |
