Can't say enough about Hobie supporting their products. Cable on mirage drive was just replaced no charge ($48.00 part) 6 months beyond warranty...

Before this thread turns into heavy advertising for Hobie Kayaks...
![]() I was happy to see someone out there coming up with a product to potentially rival Hobie. Native Watercraft seems to be the first mfg that actually put legit working system out (other kayak manufacturers are probably looking into their own leg powered propulsion systems)... Do tell us more - how did it happen?! Where did you buy your kayak? How come the show that sold it to you is not taking care of you?! I see you posted this all over, on a bunch of kayak fishing forums. It seems like you freshly registered on all these forums, posted this and never even came back to check? What, you figured done deal - you vented your frustration out, here's your revenge for $200 you need to spend... Do you realize what kind of damage a post like this could potentially do to the manufacturer?!? You better chip in a bit more, or we'll nuke this post pretty soon. ![]() |

Fullerton, CA... You're one of us, here on South CA turf.
There are not that many Native Watercraft kayaks around here - makes me even more interested to hear the full story. Where did you buy your kayak, what happened to your rudder? The only forum where you seemed to care to elaborate a bit more is stripersonline.com - this comment is interesting?! ![]() Quote:

Good detective work guys...
![]() OK kiteman, you got us all fired up now. From what I understand - there are even Native Watercraft representatives being alerted as we speak. You better elaborate a bit more, or watch your thread join the spamland... |

i'd just like to know what really went down.
if OP rooked it and caused damage, i see NW replacing parts at their discretion and how they have them available. i don't know if NW orders their parts as assemblies or units or in set even qts, but to just expect warranty replacement due to negligence...is well, lo' class. faulty workmanship or damage enroute to customer should be taken care under warranty or like, naturally. would like to know details. not too keen on courageous keyboard kooks complaining about kaos they caused. if companies keep honoring y'alls effups, it makes stuff more expensive for the rest of us that take care of our equipment. OP, details pls, thnx...and congrats on getting what you wanted. |
