A while ago I dropped my wallet in a Sport Chalet parking lot. It had almost 600 bucks in it (rare event for me
![]() I was sure I would not see the money ever again. Two hours later a twelve year old kid calls me up and says he found it. Arrive at the kid's house, meet him at the door, his dad is standing a few feet back in the hallway. The kid says "Sir, I found your wallet and I think that you may need it, I researched your number on the internet, here it is." I look inside every penny is still there, wow! After talking to the kid I found out that his dad let him handle it all by himself, gave him complete freedom to do with it what he wanted. I hope that I can raise my kids that way! There are a few good people out there. Yeah, the kid got taken care of with a little gift. ![]() |

Very nice story, and even a nicer gesture to show your gratitude, it is refreshing to hear there are good peeps still out there

Wow, that is awesome. There still may be some hope for Humanity...LOL I found a wallet while fishing with my dad when I was a kid. Had a bunch of cash in it, and a 500$ check written to cash in it which at the time was a chunk of change. Did the right thing and found the owners number in the Yellow pages and called him. He came by to pick it up and didn't even say thank you when I handed him the wallet. Your story ended much better! |
