Duuuuuuudes!!!!! WTG you guys. I am guessing that you missed the ramp to HWY 1 ? I love the sign on the other side of the exit. How many people would be comfortable at the place you stayed?

Hi Greg,

we got there on Monday night and the place was empty and then on the last night a ton of guys showed up with Baja 1000 like rigs......the Old Mill can hold a lot of people....we made the turn onto col san diego and could not get out due to barrier.......then we missed it again in the darkness......thought for sure we would be pulled over but we made it through.

Yeah!!

Sweet write up and pics Tom!

Glad you had a great time and caught a few. Bummed I couldn't make it down with you guys. Let me know when the next trip is.

Last night I went out to LJ for the first time after surgery. Was way outside in 120+ FOW. Caught a few rockfish and fought something huge, i mean huge! for about 10-15 minutes. I could not tire it out. It was the first time I broke a sweat fighting a fish from the yak. My #30 Flouro top shot finally snapped on the polymer knot. Definately a few new lessons learned and psyched to get back out there again.

Cheers

VIVA BAJA!

Damn! and Damn! What a trip, Thanx tom for setting it up. I hate to admit that was my first legal white sea bass. Next year a carravan would be awsome! As for the rock fish they were caught by accident moreless, I had lost a nice red next to the kayak and then pulled up a nice ling. left it in my lap as my bait rod started to sing only to watch the ling spit the croc and flip back in. The crazy thing is the boat we went on said 90% of the WSB were on crocs. The larger one was caught on a fat smelt! All on my new 11 ft. revo!
