yellow w/ surface iron or yoyo

FlyFishinYakr Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2011 Location: Nor Cal...30 min from Bodega/Tomales Bay, 1hr from Clear Lake, 2+ hr to Berryessa & the Delta Posts: 729	Never had much luck with the surface iron unless it was a school of breezing hungry fish , I've caught most on yoyo iron (My favorite outfit used to be a Penn 4/0 Special narrow on a Truline D-8 , now I use a BeastMaster 12/30=the original TLD 30 2-speed mounted on a Calstar 665H w/60# Hollow Ace & Seaguar 60# fluorocarbon top-shot ) . Just my experience. FFY
