This would probably help with your bow/stern lines. 2 options, 1 screws in other closes in the hook (or hatch). We stock both at OEX.

Thanks for the pic of your mazda setup. Do you remember where you connected the tie down straps to your car? Did you feel the kayak was secure at higher speeds......65mph? Thanks for the input.

I used the tow hook in the rear and in the front to a piece connected to the engine compartment behind the grill. I could do 75 with no problem.

Shouldnt be a problem using these. Never seen an issue on all the cars we have racked.
