No worries, Afran. I'm just glad someone can use it, instead of it sitting in the garage.
Same story for me. Paddled out at around 0530. I had to do a quick repair job to the kayak... My f'n front hatch flew off, on the freeway. Luckily, not a lot of people were on the freeway (NB 805, between University Ave and El Cajon Blvd.). I went back around, but still couldn't find it. Went to LJ anyway. Unloaded the kayak and duct taped a new hatch cover. Duct tape is your friend! We saw two finning yellows that weren't hungry, and my co-worker had a nice run that wrapped her into kelp. Pretty nice day to be on the water.

Bummer about the hatch, D. Glad your quick fix worked out. All quiet where I went except for a little T that played with my bait for a while and 14" halibut.

Nate,
Thanks for the offer. I called Rik yesterday, and he was going to call the warehouse for an extra one. But, they had already closed. Fortunately, I went back and found it on the side of the freeway. Thanks again. Brad, Let me know when your out next... I'll get that $5 back to you.
