I'll be the first to tell you, I have no clue what I'm doing out there. All I've ever caught out there is a sheep head. I looking for someone to show me the ropes. Don't worry, I'll be back out there soon. Not looking to slay um, just looking to get my first.

How about you leave some of them for the rest of us to catch!!! Am thinking about tomorrow morning. And for those other folks reading Todd has the launch / landing dialed in there, it's like he valet parks his car at the launch!!!

Nice! I need to get out and get a butt. I haven't the first clue on rigs/gear.

Congrats on a tasty catch!

Congrats!!! it looks like you found them.

Here's some friendly advise: If you're not already doing so PLEASE make sure you're measuring the halibut using the bottom/flat/white side of the fish. If a halibut measures 23" fish on the top side the under side may be under 22" when its laid flat on the DFW's measuring device.

Not sure I understand the reasoning behind this, isn't it the tip of the nose to the tip of the tail? Why would flipping it over make a difference?

Thanks for the tip Jorge, I'll be passing that one on. We met once out at La Jolla a couple years ago. I watched you land your first WSB. That was the first big fish I saw caught out there.

Hey Alan. I've released plenty of keepers for you in the last couple of month. Plus, I had a big 30 or 40 pounder release his self.
I'm not sure yet, but you may see me out there tomorrow.
