I had never taken the sealine apart befor and was surprised to see the cetrifical break system that runs inside the ring in the left side plate. The saltist has the same system from seeing you photos. I took the little wieghts off the pins and out of the reel when I reassmbled it. Just wanted to see if there is a diffence. Did you leave them in your reel? Mike

I pulled them off of all three Saltists I have. They seem to harden with age and do not want to stay on. I even put a light coat of grease to see if that would provide enough friction to keep in on....but it failed to keep them on.
