I've grown up fishing Montana and Utah and have caught hundreds of trout, brookies and rainbows. I have yet to fish trout in So Cal but every time I see pics of fish being caught down here their tails are a mess. Is that because they are planters or is there some fin disease down here? Not trying to thread jack, just curious as your fish has the same trademark "So Cal tail." Great catch though, that thing is a behemoth for sure!

Awesome! Today was scratch fishing at the lake, all day; considering that, you did exceptionally well.
