I've never used squid. Do you use the whole body squid or chop and chunks?

Rockfishing you can try pieces or whole (had days when only the whole squid woud get hit,,,,,and seen the opposite.)

For WSB, YT and Halis you are using a whole squid.

I am sure there may be some exception to this but unlikely. I know everything!

San Pedro Bait Co. sells good fresh frozen squid (and anchovies). So far it's been much better than other brands. You might find it in a local tackle shop. It's sold here in Dana Point, when they have it (sells out quickly).

As a rook, I'm too lazy too do the 3 mi paddle to the barge and haven't got a tank yet. Squid may be the ticket to just get out there and spend some time working on casting and knots.
