I have a Tarpon 160 and my two sons have Tarpon 160’s (all with rudders). We’ve been using the boats for the last 4 years. We tried a number of different models before we made the purchase. Stable, fast, dry ride. Very comfortable seats and the new model seats look even nicer. I’d buy it again. Good luck with search.

Dude check out the new Old Town, CJ has em at OEX, they put a lot of thought into that boat. It's just as, if not, more stable than a ride 135. I'd put it up there as the paddle equiv of a Pro Angler.

Come in and Demo the 115. I have both the standard and the 115X in stock. They are cool little boats, I have a 115X I have fished a few times now and am impressed with it. |

The old town does look like a sweet boat and id bet it would be awesome for some lake fishing you could stand and sight cast all day on that thing but I'm looking to go longer and faster than my X factor, I gotta keep up with all you peddlers drake.

Easy,
I've got a tarpon 140 about 5 years old. If you wanna try it out and actually fish it...go for it...take it for a day. Pm me if interested. I love the boat but have no other experience on other kayaks. Everyone tells me it is one of the fastest hulls, but not as stable. I am not interested in great stability and more interested in the speed so it works for me. |
