Good luck, I considered going out to LJ as well this weekend, but wind, wave & swell conditions look speculative plus the beach launch is still closed....

Yeah, we're definitely keeping an eye on the wind forecasts too.

So-far it looks like it might be a little hairy in the morning, but the swell shouldn't be too bad after sunrise.

If the launch is still closed, well, that's a different problem. Maybe we'll launch from somewhere else.

If you have wheels, it is really no big deal. You can use the stairs by the bathrooms rather than go over the wall.

Oh, and GOOD LUCK!

I was one of those views.
My plans are iffy for Sat. otherwise I would have said sure you can tag along, but I'll warn you I'm no expert if we do go.

swellwatch forecast looks good: http://forecasts.surfingmagazine.com...e_satellite_-1

and magicseaweed looks good too http://magicseaweed.com/Scripps-Pier...rf-Report/296/ (but I have heard some don't like this site due to its inaccurate reports).

I'm not seeing any wind issues either. 10mph isn't ideal, but it is manageable.

Good luck!

Weather is looking OK:
0-1 foot swells with 11 second periods
6-8 mph onshore breeze coming from the NW.
More-than-likely we'll be in La Jolla around 6:30A - 7:00A.

Any final words of wisdom for La Jolla Virgins?

Are we crazy for going out in a 6-8mph wind?
