Much like every other thread thats been posted recently we seem to have missed the point of this thread.

If you see a kayaker landing at the beach and he has a YT you need to flip him before he lands

Better yet, why don't we just do away with the fish report forum since only a few us go fishing anymore and post. Even better yet, lets create permanent Yakjoe forum.

Its may! best time for Yellowtail and White Seabass. Go fishing everyone and get that fish! Enough with the internet drama and hook up your own worm.

That thing looks too big and complex for an intestinal parasite. Was it loose in the stomach or was it embedded in the stomach lining? Was it in the gut? If it was loose in the stomach I'd think it is some thing the YT ate. It looks a bit digested. The larger end could be the remains of the skull and gill rakers. My best guess as to what it is would be a small ribbon fish. They're not common in So Cal but they are around. Mike

Did it have a backbone or any cartilagenous structure? Are you sure it's an invertebrate?

I can see segments, faintly, so definitely an Annelid, so probably a Polycheate of some type. But I don't see any parapodia, so I cant say for sure. I am taking invertebrate zoology next semester, so hang tight, ill get an answer...
