You'll find that most if not all those numbers are off. Just like the numbers the dfg gives out for the locations of the artificial reefs...Off. A lot of those numbers were converted over from loran, so there is a lot of error there.

What he said. In fact if you look at allot of the old dive board coordinates for reefs in our area they take you out to the desert. For the longest I thought there was some divinci code conspiracy going on

True story here though I think it was my fault. I entered some coordinates I got off the web to my gps then transferred them to google earth to confirm I was in the right area in Malibu. My coordinates took me to a cemetery in the Philippines.

Longitude needs a minus in front of the number. Also, Google maps reads it in decimal points, so if you're inputting the degrees, minutes and seconds, it's not going to work, you have to convert to decimal. Download gps converter for free on the Google store.

Actually Google maps does read in degrees as well as decimal. It just needs to be in the correct format. For example take
33deg 27'40'N 117deg 45'50'W

and input it into Google maps as
33 27'40"N, 117 45'50"W
and it works. You can use the degree ° sign instead of a space.
