4:30 am, awoke to cool weather and no wind. Hit the water at 5am. Fog, with visablilty at 1/4 to 1/2 mile, wind at 2-3 mph. 6am, four bass 12-17", one small butt 16" wind from Nw at 5-6 mph. 7 am, ten more bass, one bat ray and two small butts 19 and 23", winds still 5-6 mph. 8 am, back at Don Eddies. Caught 5 more bass on the way back. Seeing I fished north in the shallow part of the bay it was an easy tide-wind ride back. Total count for the morning was 3 Halibut best being 23", 19 bay bass, best was 18", one bat ray, 15 pounds and 4 lizzard fish. A cormarant ate a fork/spoon, as did the butts and most of the bass. Yes there are many cormarants in the bay, and when you see them catching bait you know that there are fish around, poor mans fish finder.
It is 8:40 now and the visability is 1/2 to 3/4 miles in fog, winds are now at a steady 12-15 mph, but no white caps yet. It was cold on the water this morning with fog and no sun, MAYBE TOMORROW will be better............. 11 am 15-20 and white capping, noon the same.
