I have the same reel. It's a little power house.
Like a few said, I too am right handed, but generally prefer to keep the rod in my right hand. I usually wind up fishing ambidextrous.

What rod did you pair with the Lexa 300?

I have been pairing it with a graftech inshore series 7'H (20-30)
I could pair it with either a lighter or heavier rod though, depending on what the day requires.
