Check the swell reports before you go, especially for your first time, and especially this weekend. Stick to a bay if you can.

Long weekend, end of summer = drunks on boats and PWCs. Crowded beaches and high surf can make landing interesting if the lifeguards have not put out the blackball flag before you even get to launch.
I'll be hitting the honey-dos extra hard in hopes of being able to get to the HOW event next weekend |
