What Sunglasses Do You Prefer For Fishing?

I vote for the Smith Optics also.

Three years ago I switched from Maui Jims to the Smiths and never looked back. I have two different pairs but both chroma pop, one for low light/overcast days and another for full sun. They are awesome glasses

Pelagic Polarized.... They are comfortable, light weight, great lenses (although plastic, I have not scratched either pair once this entire year), and they are eisier on the wallet

Have you tried Maui Jim's and Costa's and found that you liked the Smith's the best?

From my research it seems that Costa and Smith are neck in neck in terms of clarity of lenses. Costa's are rated slightly higher because of the glass lens compared to Smith's Chromapop which are offered in plastic.

I had some Costas I really liked. I'm hard on glasses and they scratched up faster than I thought they should have. I took them to the Fred Hall show and talked to one of the guys in their booth who told me to send them in and they would replace the lenses at full cost to me plus shipping both ways. Needless to say I was not impressed. Smiths are looking to be a good option.

I just returned my Costas with 580G lenses and they are going to replace them with new lenses and frames for 11.99.

Go to the website and then register a repair and then they send you a shipping label by email to print up. You pay 11.99 by credit card and then they hold that. Send them back and then call them. They will tell you what is needed to repair them.

I thought the customer service was pretty good. The maui jims I had they wanted 50 dollars to repair them.

I have never tried Costas, had a couple pairs of Maui Jims, liked the lenses, did not really care for the fit of them.
