Well, obviously fix the wife thing first. After that, I second the notion of "if its not all the way through... don't screw with it."

I had an old OK Trident that got a rough ride due to a screwed up swim step on a boat. Looked like a shark got to it. Some of the deep cuts I flattened out with a heat gun and some spare material. The shallow cuts, all I did was make it look worse.

Most importantly, you can deform the plastic by putting too much heat in an area for too long. If you haven't done it before, I wouldn't try on your new ride.

Looks cosmetic. Actually, it looks like some points in your column when you tell her that you understand it was an accident and she is more important than any material thing you have.

Should get you on the water more for a while

leave it alone... you can always call the manufacture to send you some plastic of the same color and weld it or just some go over it with a solider iron with a flat tip. I have one that hobie makes.

This is great, it's a get out of jail free card for the next time you screw up.

DUDE...REALLY?

If I had to take pictures of all of the wounds that my PA has I'd have to take over 100 photos. Get some heat, press that thing back in and get over it.
