Looks good, Louis.
I bought an Outback four days ago and I'm practicing around the bays before I head out to the ocean. When the time comes, where exactly is it off La Jolla that the kayaks go to fish? I know where the launch point is, I can see the underwater topography from Google Earth, but I'm not sure about the destinations relative to kelp beds, depth, etc. Is dead reckoning easy enough, or do I need a fish-finder with GPS? I'm putting together my checklists now. Please point me in the right direction. My reels are wound with 12# and 25# P-Line mono now. What do you recommend for seeking yellowtails from kayaks off La Jolla? Thanks! |

Right on! La Jolla was on fire saturday. What a show. Glad you got some, not everyone did surprisingly.
