Same problem with the Arrid (however its spelled ) Coastal doesn't engage back sometimes.

johnny morris bass pro qualifier which is not made for saltwater gives me no problems....why diawa why?

Check out Avet Reels. They are all available in left hand retrieve, only in silver color though. Great USA made reels, smooth drags. Love em.
