When you say you saw it jump 19.316 feet into the moonlight where you at the top of the swell? If it was a 3foot swell is it possible that the mako actually jump 22.316 feet into the moonlight?

It did end badly for the mako pup! I hope he did not die in vane.

Dude, REALLY???
Do you ask Darkhorse where his favorite fishing holes are???
I think not!
Why don't you spend a few hours OTW and figure out how to catch blood thirsty, paddle attacking, man eaters yourself.

A PL 68, that brings back memories of BIG Cows in deep water. Can't do that anymore except in MEXICO. Oh well just another reason to fish Baja.

In a related story released by the Carlsbad Unified School District:

Long time Carlsbad school crossing guard, affectionately known as Chad Mike has requested an immediate leave of absence to deal with some personal issues. Mike has been a fixture in Carlsbad and is easily recognizable large and attention getting left hand. Earlier this weekend Mike is as involved in a life or death struggle with a massive mako shark while fishing off La Jolla. Mike felt he needed a little time to deal with his instant stardom and of course the inevitable nightmares that come along with such a harrowing experience. We will of course miss Mike and trust that he will get past this experience with no long term effects.

For future reference Mike, you are supposed to let those big ones go, cause they eat Seals. I prefer to take much smaller ones (they taste like veal).
