Gav was slow last sat
think either squid was wrapped week before
or the oil seep caused issues few weeks before

brown rockies were biting off the pipe though
and got a nice ling
and rocked by another prob

also that wicked south wind was mellow this time around

P

I was out saturday at the pipe in goleta with not much action except a couple calicos and some kelp rockfish. Bait was slim pickens and the water was pretty murky.

And on a more exciting note, a big ol' white swam under my kayak without my knowledge. Gf said it was longer than my kayak(12 ft) and only a couple of feet under me.

Apparently this guy has been in the area the last two weeks.

I woulda cut my day short

great thing about fishing up there
free pitch to fill holes in ure yak

my browns were prob kelp rockies
too
