BE SURE TO BUY A THERMACELL! The mosquitos in south LA are ridiculous. Easy great fishing. Redfish, bull Reds, flounder and speckled trout. Good size and limit regulations. Cast nets are legal and recommended to catch live bait. Finger mullet, cut mullet, and live shrimp for bait fisherman. Gulp shrimp and swimming minnows are solid artificial lures. Louisianasportsman.com is another source of info also.

Fortunately, u will be there during deer season and the rut should be in full swing. So most of the locals will be in the woods and not on the water.
