Oh yeah. Might have been the worst day I've ever had dealing with the dogs. Made about a dozen or so spanish in like 20 mins around 5am and lost almost all those throughout the day to the seal lions. Had two short bites near the kelp, but couldn't get em to stick. It was really nice and empty out on the water though. Cheers! |

Ya i had a couple short bites as well. The second fish I landed could not choke down the greenback I had on my hook (12-14") I pulled the mac out felt no more pressure. Put the mac in freespool and let the yellowtail swim with the bait for about 10 seconds in freespool before throwing it into gear. Did the trick for that one. |
