Where does the seat go??
It must be over the pump with some adaptors. |

I have no authority to answer this question, but if I recall correctly the seat butts up against the tankwell over that pump scupper. The seat can adjust forward and back to changed the weight distribution if certain loadouts require it.

Im really excited about this new size. Curious to see how it will compare against the Thresher 140. Can a couple 8' rods with reels fit into the hull on the 13.5 ?

Price for the Standard is $1349 and Elite Package $1749. The one we have at the shop is the Standard. The Elite Package is similar to the way the 2015 Kraken 15 was rigged. You get 3 Ram rod holders, Plano tackle box, and the KKrate in addition to the Standard model.
http://jacksonkayak.com/blog/kayak/k...s/kraken-13-5/ This is the Elite. Product description page shows the color options for the new season. Just stuck a 7' rod inside with no reel, 12-30lb stick. Should be able to fit at least 2 7fter's. Kerry OEX |

Was able to take the Kraken 13.5 out few a demo session on Mission Bay. The Kraken 13.5 is a fast kayak. The boat has good glide and tracks well. A rudder would work really well on this kayak and the install is straight forward. I own a Tarpon 140 and to me the speed is similar. The stability is good as I was able to stand up and fish. It was a calm morning with a lite wind and not much boat traffic, but was still able to stand up. The seat is comfortable, feels a little better then the previous model. It does have a high/low seating system but I only used it in the low position. I have a larger crate and was easily able to reach everything in the crate from the seated position. I used the center hatch with the hatch insert. The insert was great for storing pliers, snacks, tackle, and even a jacket. My quick take on the Kraken 13.5 is a good paddling kayak that will fish well, get you there quick, and provide a comfortable platform for your outing especially if you have back issues. We have a demo here ready for you to try out if your in the market for a new kayak.
