with the bait tank full of maybe 6-7 (30ish lb) gallon it rides fine.

No, the pro angler is a pig.. Adding 60 lbs to the back is nothing.. Even with the bait tank. If you have to peddle it. It's noticble but to be honest I could get used to it an maintain my speed with the added weight of the battery and motor when not in use.

I've fished with my wife back there 100lb plus 10lb chair. And she's more toward the back then where I would put a battery. Didn't notice any change in the ride.

Battery

Blazin...here are a few photos of my 12v battery on my PA 14...I just used an old plastic battery box...you can get them at most auto or marine suppy stores.
I added a couple of wooden wedges to support the box since it sits on kind of a ridge of plastic...It puts the weight in a great spot rather than all the way in the back of the PA. You can fit a PWC battery inside the middle hatch but they don't have a very deep supply of juice...I use it for my Scotty Puller when hooping.

Scotty

Not to threadjack...But...
Tunaseeker/Todd...you asked for a few a few photos of my Scotty Power Puller on the PA...here you go.
This configuration works for the PRE 2015 Pro Anglers...since then the H-Rail was added and you now need to use a different type of riser that Scotty has in their catalog.
