Welcome Chloe , enjoy the addiction. newbee here also, in Lake Forest.I have been out five or six times to Dana Point .Just stay in the bay for now. Let me know if when you get your gear you want some one to paddle(or peddle) around with.

Hey Mark,
That sounds great. It will be a little while, I have to purchase the yak. Not sure if I should get one plain or one with the works. I see that the on line store has some set up with a fishing package. The Hobie outback and Revolution, checking the prices of package is not bad at all. If you are only looking at Hobie products, when you are ready to try them out, see Tim at Dana Point Jet Ski and he will help you out.

for fish finders and ANY electronics, i suggest inexpensive stuff to start with.
over time, once u gain more experience, u may then decide its best for you to upgrade to better stuff.
