Sounds like a lot of us have done the same. I went to Dana Point one time and got everything loaded on my kayak and got down to baby beach. Took my wheels off and went back to the car to put them away and to get my pfd. No pfd, left it on the hook in the garage. So I had to be extremely careful that day and was very lucky that I didn't have any need for it. I'll never forget my pfd again!

A few weeks ago I got everything unloaded off my car at Newport and had everything on the kayak ready to take it down to the Coast Guard Beach and then discovered that I'd forgotten the seat. I looked around the car and then remembered that I'd left it hanging on a hook next to my pfd. Fortunately I wasn't far from home, so after taking all of my stuff down to the beach, I quickly drove home and got it. But at least I didn't forget my pfd! )

Happens to the best of us. Some, more than others......
