I'd say don't waste time trying foam pads, go straight to the self inflating air cushions.

I break it out after 5 hours or so good for another 5 since any height increase adds to my tippiness I keep it slightly under full inflate and tuck it under lower back just a tad too doubles as a floaty if your pfd fails or u can stuff it inside the yak if you don't have enough noodles. been rockin mine for several years and no holes P |
