the quota for sculpin in 2016 was reached... so they closed it...

X2 I was on a boat this weekend and pulled a nice one up. They said the season is closed on them because the quota was reached.

Dates for the season were hard written in to the 2016-17 reg book, not closed based on a reported quota.

I'll look more in to how they set those dates. And FYI the open date for scorpion fish varies by management area.

I thought it interesting that sculpin season opens back up when the rest of the ground fish season is closed Jan-Feb.
