Yes they both say pending, so the waiting game begins. Guess those shrimp will have to wait

If it is $125.00 for five years, it is really worth it.

I guess since they have the Email address, they will notify us about the interview date.

There must be a lot of applicants to take that long.

Can it be used if coming back from Canada, or other countries?

Does it take as long for renewing the pass after five years?

If so, one must put it the application at the end of year four.

2017 GONZAGA on the FLY 2017

Not only is border crossing faster, but when you fly your boarding pass will have a stamp on it "TSA Precheck". You go in a separate line, throw your stuff on a conveyor, do not take off your shoes, and are through in seconds. Because I have sentri, the wife's ticket also has it.
Renewal is through the mail and super easy. Just make sure you log into your GOES account to activate the card within two weeks of receiving it, or you send them another $25 and start over ( don't ask how I know this...)

My process was fast!
I submitted on 4/27/16
Application approved 05/02/16
Interview date 05/10/16

Based on the location of your interview can greatly reduce the wait time. I drove to Calexico for mine because I could schedule my interview in one week. I was hoping to go to Long Beach or LAX but the wait was 5 months.

Hashem, this is not good for Canada border crossings, they have their own program called Nexus.
https://www.cbp.gov/travel/trusted-t...programs/nexus

One other option is the Ready Lane, if you have a passport card you can use that lane. It's faster than the regular lanes but not as fast as the Sentri Lane.

And TSA Pre is great which is part of the Global Entry Program

Thank you all for the information you have provided.

Much appreciated.

I live next to LAX, it may be worth the wait depending on the timing of the interview.

I am already planning of a cattle boat outing, if I have to go to SD.

With a first name like Hashem, born in Tehran, Iran (not eye-ran) I am sure there will be some extensive background checking.

No problem though. I have nothing to hide.

Give you folks an update on my Global Entry process. Filled out the forms online at the GOES website. They approved our applications yesterday and I scheduled our interviews in Calexico for 12/8/2016. If I scheduled in Los Angeles it was May 15th. San Diego was in January or February. Will let you know how the interview went when it is done.

Robert that is awesome. Yours was much faster than mine. I have an interview 12/8 at san ysidro. Could have done sooner in calexico, but I wasnt planning on going to baja again til 2017.

Having this sentry, I will definitely go down more frequently. The reason I dont go more often is that damn border wait!

If anybody that should have the pass is Mr. Bob, but since he does not always travel alone, it would not help much.

Unless he like others, he require the pass in order to travel with him.

Robert's fast application approval gives me hope. I will stick with LAX, no matter (almost no matter) how long it takes. I can walk to LAX and maybe stop at IN and Out Burger joint on the way!

NEW YEARS IN PARADISE

Leaving 27-28th of December to spend New Years Eve at the party in Restauarant. Expect to stay a few days after just to FISH. All welcome to join us in paradise for the New Year. Tight Lines.

Ribs, tamales, and many other dishes will be served. Last year was a blast, just ask Buddha. Please let me know if you are coming so we can have enough Tequilla on hand, we ran out last year and had to settle for Makers Mark.

How about me? I was there too. I even posted pictures about it.

How the wind prediction will be? That is the question.

From last year's post:

50-There were family and other visitors at the dinner table.

52-Buddha was entertaining the crowd with a great karaoke machine. Crowd’s favorite was him signing in Spanish!!

If I have the pass I may consider a trip.

YES you were, however Jeff WAS the life of the party. I can usually predict winds two weeks out, but not a month and a half out. So USUALLY 3 days wind, 3-4 days good. However remember the quad lets us fish the beach too. BTW I got some different lures to try on the beach. Me thinks might work well for Orange Mouth Corvina. But arkadash are you coming THIS year? That is the question. Tight Lines.
