I did not see how he did a cast, how he reeled in, but I am going to try using a top section of an old rod.

Just for the hell of it.

I still like my Sabiki rod, but I have not used it in a kayak yet.

Shoot I would think that a coat hanger would work just fine, dumb down the number of hooks to 3-4 just to avoid a clusterf*ck.
