My transducer is inside the hull with goop indeed.
I will make it direct contact to water and see. You have a point !
I hope it is the "ground" issue.

Transducer completes the ground for the touchscreen, so if your transducer is inside the hull insulated w goop, you have no ground and the touch screen will malfunction. I have 7ti and my touch screen works with water blood and mackerel slime all over the screen.
