With all of the money you've spent on motors you could have bought a 30' parker with dual outboards and all electronicsorts included

You guys do know that you could get a small boat with engine for about half the price of a PA14, right?

Are u running that with a torqeedo battery? I have two of those exact battery in my garage. I've been trying to figure out a way to connect them in parallel without having to gut them.

can you be more specific? injury has kept me out of the game and am considering affordable options to get back in the game. have seen aluminum skiffs with extension tillers fishing la jolla and think that may be the way to go.

I'd say a 16 foot skiff with a 15-25hp outboard and you'll be set. With that you wouldn't need to launch at LJ but could trailer it to Mission bay to launch then motor on up to LJ. Takes less then an hour and is much easier.

You can add a bait tank easily as well as electronics.

Check out Craigslist, there are a lot out there. Be patient though, don't grab the first one you see, unless it is what you want. Also, a four stroke will be better than a two stroke. They are quieter and smoke way less. Plus, you can take them on any lake in So. Cal.
